Emailable vs ZeroBounce

An independent, review-free comparison compiled by the SaaSTracker editorial team. Both products are profiled in full, and neither can pay for placement here.

The short answer

Both sides assessed

Emailable compared with ZeroBounce

ZeroBounce goes far beyond Emailable on certifications, with ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, owned data centres, and EU or US routing, plus warmup and DMARC monitoring Emailable does not offer. It also costs $649 per 100,000 addresses. Emailable's SOC 2 Type II and 1 percent bounce guarantee cover most small-business assurance needs at a lower price. Take ZeroBounce when a formal security review or the full suite is the requirement, Emailable when it is not.

ZeroBounce compared with Emailable

Emailable is the middle path: SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, a 99 percent deliverability guarantee, 250 free credits, and pricing anchored at $38 for 5,000 that undercuts ZeroBounce meaningfully while still offering inbox placement and blacklist monitoring. ZeroBounce goes further on certifications, owned infrastructure, and suite depth. Pick Emailable for speed and a lighter bill; pick ZeroBounce when the compliance evidence pack is the deliverable.

Choose Emailable if

Developers and product teams adding verification to a signup flow or a pipeline, and marketing teams that want fast bulk cleaning from a SOC 2 certified vendor without paying ZeroBounce prices or accepting a four-person supplier.

Choose ZeroBounce if

Companies that need one vendor to cover verification and deliverability together, and especially those selling into regulated or procurement-heavy buyers where SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and a signed DPA with EU routing are requirements rather than nice-to-haves.

Best forDevelopers and product teams adding verification to a signup flow or a pipeline, and marketing teams that want fast bulk cleaning from a SOC 2 certified vendor without paying ZeroBounce prices or accepting a four-person supplier.Companies that need one vendor to cover verification and deliverability together, and especially those selling into regulated or procurement-heavy buyers where SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and a signed DPA with EU routing are requirements rather than nice-to-haves.
Setup timeTen minutes for bulk work, and about the same for the API given the client libraries. The form widget is described as installable within seconds and in practice is a snippet plus a key.Minutes for a list upload or an API key. Connecting an ESP or CRM integration takes an hour at most. Standing up the deliverability suite, meaning placement tests, blacklist monitors, and DMARC ingestion, is a half-day exercise because DNS changes are involved.
Learning curveLow. Three verdicts plus enrichment fields, uniform credit costs across every path, and documentation short enough to read in one pass. Inbox Reports and blacklist monitoring take slightly longer to interpret because they report on sending posture rather than list quality.Moderate, and it comes from breadth rather than difficulty. The validation statuses and sub-statuses are richer than most competitors and reward reading the documentation once. The suite tools each carry their own mental model, and teams commonly use two of them and ignore the rest.

Strengths and limitations

Emailable

Strengths

  • SOC 2 Type II certified with GDPR compliance advertised, which puts it well ahead of the budget tier on assurance without ZeroBounce's price.
  • The deliverability guarantee is stated precisely: no more than 1 percent of addresses marked deliverable will bounce, rather than a vague accuracy percentage.
  • Genuinely fast: over 30,000 verifications a minute, 100,000 addresses in under three minutes, on 99.99 percent published uptime.
  • One credit per verification across bulk, single, API, and widget, with duplicates and unknowns refunded on completion.

Limitations

  • The volume price ladder is not published; only the 5,000-credit anchor appears in prose, which makes budgeting above that a signup-first exercise.
  • Catch-all addresses are reported as risky with no resolution attempt, so B2B lists leave the same bucket unresolved that MillionVerifier and BounceBan try to recover.
  • Compliance stops at SOC 2 Type II and GDPR; there is no ISO 27001, no HIPAA, no published EU data residency option, and no public trust centre with downloadable evidence.
  • Pricing at $0.0076 per address at the entry anchor is four to six times the cheap end of the category for the same core verification.

ZeroBounce

Strengths

  • By far the strongest compliance posture in the category: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, HIPAA with BAA, PCI DSS, GDPR with an internal DPO, CCPA and CPRA, Data Privacy Framework participation, and documented EU AI Act readiness.
  • Runs on its own owned data centre hardware rather than public cloud, which eliminates a long list of subprocessor and residency objections before they are raised.
  • Selectable EU-only or US-only API routing plus 30-day automatic deletion of uploaded files gives a concrete, checkable data-handling story rather than a policy paragraph.
  • The breadth is real: validation, AI scoring, email finder, activity data, inbox placement, blacklist monitoring, DMARC, server testing, warmup, and a deliverability dashboard from one account.

Limitations

  • The most expensive per-credit pricing of any self-serve vendor in this comparison set, by a wide margin at every volume below a million.
  • The pay-as-you-go ladder is punishing at low volume: $0.0195 per address at the 2,000 minimum is more than sixteen times what Reoon charges for a 10,000 pack.
  • Catch-all addresses are labelled rather than resolved, so the hardest and most valuable part of a B2B list still comes back as a judgement call, mitigated only by a separately billed scoring product.
  • The free tier at 100 credits a month is an evaluation allowance and cannot support any real cleaning workload.

Pricing compared

Emailable

Prepaid credits with no expiry, sold pay-as-you-go or as a monthly subscription at 15 percent off, with a uniform one-credit cost across bulk, single, API, and widget verification.

  • Pay as you goFrom $38
  • SubscriptionFrom $32.30
  • EnterpriseCustom

At the published anchor of $0.0076 per address, Emailable is a mid-to-upper-market price: cheaper than ZeroBounce, roughly comparable to NeverBounce's entry rate, and several times more than MillionVerifier or Reoon. What justifies it is the combination of SOC 2 Type II, a precisely worded 1 percent bounce guarantee, genuinely fast processing, 24/7 support, non-expiring credits, and refunds for duplicates and unknowns. The 250 free credits also make evaluation painless. The weak spot is transparency: refusing to publish the volume ladder in a category where competitors publish theirs in full makes the vendor harder to compare and forces a signup to get a number, which is a small but real friction.

ZeroBounce

Two paths that combine: prepaid pay-as-you-go credits on a volume ladder, and the ZeroBounce ONE monthly subscription which bundles credits and deliverability tools and discounts further credit purchases by 15 percent.

  • Freemium$0
  • Pay as you go$39 to $26,998
  • ZeroBounce ONE (monthly)$99
  • ZeroBounce ONE (annual)$948

Priced purely as a verifier, ZeroBounce is the most expensive credible option here: $649 to clean 100,000 addresses against $149 for MillionVerifier and $135 for DeBounce. Priced as a deliverability platform with audited compliance, owned infrastructure, EU routing, and a HIPAA BAA, it is reasonable, because the alternative is a cheap verifier plus a placement testing tool plus a blacklist monitor plus a warmup service plus a security questionnaire nobody can answer. The decision is therefore not about credits at all. If you will use the suite or you need the certifications, ZeroBounce ONE at $79 to $99 a month is defensible. If you want a clean list and nothing else, you are overpaying by a factor of four and should buy elsewhere.

Editorial verdict on each

Emailable

Emailable is the well-run middle of this category. SOC 2 Type II, a precisely worded guarantee that no more than 1 percent of deliverables will bounce, genuinely fast processing, 24/7 support, non-expiring credits, refunds for duplicates and unknowns, 250 free credits, and the best client-library experience of the group add up to a product that is easy to recommend to a developer or a marketing team that wants no drama. Two things hold it back. It does not publish its volume ladder, which in a category where Bouncer, DeBounce, MillionVerifier, and ZeroBounce all publish theirs looks like a choice rather than an oversight, and it makes no attempt on catch-all addresses. Buy it when the API is going into a production path and the vendor has to clear a light security check. If your problem is a large accept-all bucket or the lowest possible bill, the answer is elsewhere.

ZeroBounce

Category Leader

ZeroBounce is the vendor you buy when the purchase has to survive scrutiny. SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, HIPAA with a BAA, PCI DSS, EU and UK DPAs, selectable EU routing, 30-day deletion, quarterly penetration tests, and its own data centre add up to a posture nothing else in this category approaches, and around that sits a genuinely broad deliverability suite that can retire three or four other subscriptions. The price is the price of all that: at $649 per 100,000 addresses it costs four times MillionVerifier and does not even try to resolve the catch-alls that matter most to outbound teams. Buy it if compliance, breadth, or consolidation is what you are actually solving for, and take ZeroBounce ONE annually at $79 a month so the bundled tools carry their weight. If you simply want a clean list at the lowest defensible cost, this is the wrong end of the market.
