The awards program
The Summer 2026 Award Winners
Four awards are issued in every category each quarter: Category Leader, Best Value, Momentum, and Innovation. All are judged against the published criteria below by the editorial team, and every award ships with a citation saying exactly why it was given. No award can be purchased, sponsored, or influenced by a vendor relationship.
Awarded to the product that best defines its category this edition: breadth of capability, reliability, and market presence considered together.
Judged on: Feature completeness against the category checklist, product maturity, and demonstrated adoption among the teams the category serves.
Awarded to the product delivering the strongest capability-per-dollar in its category, including what its entry tier actually unlocks.
Judged on: Entry-price-to-capability ratio, transparency of pricing, and how little of the core product is gated behind upper tiers.
Awarded to the product with the steepest recent trajectory: shipping velocity, category influence, and mindshare growth over the last two quarters.
Judged on: Release cadence and significance, growth signals from public sources, and influence on where the category is heading.
Awarded to the product that most changed how its category works: a genuinely new mechanism, not just a better version of the standard one.
Judged on: Novelty of the underlying mechanism, evidence it solves a problem the incumbents address only with workarounds, and likelihood the category adopts the approach.
