The short answer

Both sides assessed

LowFruits compared with Mangools

Mangools gives you keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking, backlinks, and AI visibility across eight engines for about $29.90 a month. LowFruits gives you one signal Mangools does not have: which individual results are weak enough to displace. Small publishers commonly run both, using LowFruits to find the openings and Mangools for everything around them.

Mangools compared with LowFruits

LowFruits does one thing Mangools does not: it identifies keywords where weak sites currently rank, which is a genuinely different way of finding opportunity than sorting by difficulty score. It is also credit-based rather than subscription-based. Many small publishers run both, using LowFruits to find the gaps and Mangools to size and track them.

Choose Mangools if

Solo founders, freelancers, bloggers, small ecommerce operators, and small marketing teams who need competent keyword research, rank tracking, and AI visibility monitoring without learning or paying for an enterprise SEO platform.

Setup timeMinutes. There is no project setup, no crawling, and no verification. Enter a seed keyword or import a list, choose which terms to analyse, and spend credits. The free trial allowance covers a first real analysis.Minutes. There is no project setup required for research work; you log in and type a keyword. Rank tracking needs a domain, a keyword list, and a location, which takes about ten minutes per site.
Learning curveLow, with one conceptual shift required. Users arriving from Ahrefs or Semrush habitually look for a difficulty score and have to retrain themselves to read weak spot counts instead, which is the whole value of the tool and takes about one session to internalise. The lowest in the category by a wide margin. Mangools is deliberately built so that someone with no SEO training can look at a KWFinder result and understand what to do next, and that design intent is visible in every screen.

Strengths and limitations

LowFruits

Strengths

  • The weak-spot signal is genuinely differentiated. Nothing else at any price tells you which specific positions in a SERP are held by beatable sites.
  • Metering is completely transparent at one credit per SERP analysed, with no hidden charges for opening reports or applying filters.
  • Pay-as-you-go credits remain valid for a year, which matches how keyword research actually happens and avoids paying for idle months.
  • The vendor publishes guidance telling light users that a subscription would be worse value than credit packs, which is unusually straight commercial advice.

Limitations

  • It is a single-purpose research tool. No site audit, no technical crawling, no meaningful backlink index, and no content optimization.
  • No AI answer visibility tracking of any kind, which in 2026 is an increasingly conspicuous gap for a keyword research tool.
  • Subscription credits reset monthly and are lost if unused, which punishes variable workloads and makes the subscription the wrong default for most buyers.
  • The weak-spot premise loses value as your own domain gains authority, so the tool has a natural expiry date for a growing site.

Mangools

Strengths

  • By far the best interface in the category. The tools are fast, legible, and usable by someone who does not do SEO for a living, which is the single most underrated feature in this market.
  • AI Search Watcher covers eight AI systems including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Mistral, and Llama, included in the subscription rather than sold as an add-on.
  • Running each AI prompt multiple times is a genuine methodological improvement over competitors that check once and report a number.
  • Daily lookup limits that reset every 24 hours are far less punishing than monthly credit systems that can lock you out mid-project.

Limitations

  • No site audit or crawler of any kind, which is a significant gap for anyone responsible for technical SEO.
  • The LinkMiner backlink index is much smaller than Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz, and is suitable for prospecting rather than for competitive analysis you need to defend.
  • Rank tracking is weekly on Basic and Premium; daily updates require the Agency plan at three times the entry price.
  • Reporting is basic, with no white-label output or client portal, so agencies delivering monthly reports will need something else.

Pricing compared

LowFruits

Credit-based, at one credit per SERP analysed, sold either as pay-as-you-go packs valid for a year or as monthly subscriptions whose credits reset and do not roll over.

  • Pay as you goFrom about $25
  • StandardAbout $29.90
  • PremiumAbout $79.90

LowFruits is cheap in absolute terms and unusually honest about when not to buy it, which is rare enough to be worth noting. The pay-as-you-go model at around $25 for 2,000 year-valid credits is the correct default for almost every individual buyer, and the vendor says so itself: subscription credits reset monthly, so a Standard plan only makes sense at roughly 100 analysed keywords a day. What you get for the money is one signal nothing else provides, namely which specific results in a SERP are weak enough to displace. That signal is worth disproportionately more to a site with no authority than a full research suite would be. What you do not get is anything else at all: no crawler, no real backlink index, no AI visibility, no client reporting. Buy it as a scalpel alongside a broader tool, not as a replacement for one.

Mangools

Three-tier bundle subscription covering all six tools, metered on daily lookups that reset every 24 hours rather than on monthly credits, with seats included on the top tier.

  • BasicAbout $29.90
  • PremiumAbout $44.90
  • AgencyAbout $89.90

Mangools is the best low-budget purchase in this category and it is not particularly close. Basic at about $29.90 per month annually gives you keyword research, SERP analysis, rank tracking, backlink prospecting, domain analysis, and AI visibility monitoring across eight engines, which is more coverage per dollar than anything else on the market. The honest limits are real: no site crawler, weekly rank tracking below Agency, a backlink index that is fine for prospecting and inadequate for adjudication, and reporting that will not satisfy a client. But the question for a small business is rarely whether Mangools is as good as Ahrefs. It is whether the extra $200 per month buys anything you will actually use, and for most people publishing content on one or two sites the answer is no.

Editorial verdict on each

LowFruits

LowFruits does one thing and does it better than anything else on the market: it tells you which specific results in a search listing are weak enough to displace, which is the question that actually matters when your site has no authority and every difficulty score looks discouraging. Priced at around $25 for 2,000 year-valid credits, it is cheap enough to be a rounding error next to a real SEO subscription, and the vendor's willingness to tell light users that its own subscription would be poor value for them is a good sign about how the business is run. The limits are absolute and should be taken at face value: no crawler, no backlink index, no AI visibility, no client reporting, and diminishing usefulness as your own domain grows. Buy it as a scalpel alongside Mangools, Ubersuggest, or a bigger suite, and buy credits rather than a subscription unless you really are analysing a hundred keywords a day.

Mangools

Best Value

Mangools is the tool to recommend to someone who needs SEO data and has neither the budget nor the appetite for a platform. It is beautifully built, genuinely fast, priced from about $29.90 per month annually, and in 2026 it quietly acquired the broadest AI engine coverage in its price bracket, tracking eight systems including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Grok with repeated prompt runs for reliability, all included rather than upsold. The gaps are real and worth stating plainly: no site crawler at all, a backlink index that is fine for prospecting and unfit for adjudication, weekly rank tracking unless you buy Agency, and reporting that will not pass as a client deliverable. If any of those matter, look at SE Ranking or Moz. If none of them do, Mangools will do more of what you actually need than a subscription costing five times as much.
