Metorik compared with Putler

Putler is the other multi-source option for a WooCommerce seller, and it reaches further: PayPal, Stripe, and other gateways, plus Etsy, eBay, Amazon, and Gumroad, merged into one customer list with eleven automatic RFM segments from $20 a month on revenue-based pricing. Metorik keeps the edge in segment building (500-plus filters), its own email tools, and six-hourly Facebook and Google Ads audience sync, none of which Putler offers. A store living on WooCommerce should stay with Metorik; a business selling through several gateways and marketplaces gets a cleaner customer list from Putler.

Putler compared with Metorik

The two multi-source options most likely to be shortlisted by a WooCommerce seller. Metorik prices by orders from $25, offers more than 500 filters, sends email itself, and syncs segments to Facebook and Google Ads every six hours, on WooCommerce and Shopify. Putler prices by revenue from $20, adds payment gateways and marketplaces such as PayPal, Stripe, Etsy, and Amazon, and hands you eleven automatic RFM segments, but exports only to CSV and Mailchimp. A business selling through several gateways and marketplaces gets a cleaner customer list from Putler; a WooCommerce store that wants live ad audiences should take Metorik.

Choose Metorik if

WooCommerce stores of any size, and Shopify stores that want deep filtering across orders, products, and subscriptions, that need segments to drive reports, exports, emails, and Meta and Google Ads audiences from one tool, with pricing that scales from $25 a month and no charge per user.

Choose Putler if

Small online businesses that sell across more than one store, marketplace, or payment gateway, including digital product and subscription sellers, and want one clean customer list with automatic RFM segments and CSV or Mailchimp export, at a price that starts at $20 a month for businesses under $10,000 in monthly revenue.

Setup timeMinutes to connect a store and start the trial, then the historical import, which depends on order count. Segments are usable as soon as the data lands, and audience sync connections take a few minutes each. The vendor says connecting accounts takes 10 to 15 minutes. Import and processing follow, and the RFM chart appears once processing finishes; a redraw takes about 90 minutes according to the help center.
Learning curveModerate. The filter builder is powerful and fast but asks the user to know what they want; the AI assistant shortens that for people who would rather describe the segment. Reporting and digests are straightforward.Low. RFM segments are ready without configuration and the dashboards need no setup; filters, saved segments, and drilldowns take a little exploration.

Strengths and limitations

Metorik

Strengths

  • Deep WooCommerce support, including plugin custom fields and WooCommerce Subscriptions reporting, which the Shopify apps in this category cannot match.
  • More than 500 filters across customers, orders, subscriptions, products, carts, and coupons, with real-time results.
  • Every feature, unlimited users, and unlimited contacts on every plan, from $25 a month.
  • Automatic billing that follows a three-month average of orders and moves down as well as up.

Limitations

  • No native segment sync to Klaviyo, Attentive, or other external email and SMS tools.
  • TikTok and Pinterest audience sync are announced but not live.
  • No pre-built RFM segment set handed over on install; the value depends on someone building segments.
  • More expensive than the Shopify-only segmentation apps once a store passes a few thousand orders a month.

Putler

Strengths

  • Consolidates payment gateways, stores, marketplaces, and Google Analytics into one de-duplicated customer list, which no Shopify-only app in this category attempts.
  • Eleven named RFM segments calculated automatically and redrawn every 24 hours, with segment membership for any date range.
  • Works across PayPal, Stripe, WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Etsy, eBay, Amazon, Gumroad, and Easy Digital Downloads.
  • Direct segment export to Mailchimp, plus CSV export for anything else.

Limitations

  • No live audience sync to Klaviyo, Meta, Google Ads, or TikTok; activation is CSV and Mailchimp.
  • RFM segments are fixed and automatic, with no documented way to change the scoring.
  • Revenue-based pricing penalizes high-ticket businesses and climbs to $750 a month at $500,000 to $1 million in revenue.
  • No published annual rate, and plan limits on data sources and history are not published per band.

  • Starter$25
  • Level 2$75
  • Level 3$150
  • Level 4$250
  • Level 5$400
  • Levels 6 to 9$750 to $2,350

For a WooCommerce store the value case is simple: only Metrilo also reads Woo data, at a much higher entry price, and $25 to $150 a month buys a segment builder, cohort and RFM reporting, email automation, and Meta and Google Ads audience sync with unlimited users. On Shopify the comparison is sharper. A store doing 3,000 orders a month pays $250 on Metorik against $19 for By the Numbers or $149 for Segments by Tresl, and both of those sync to Klaviyo and TikTok where Metorik does not. Metorik earns the difference if the store also uses its reporting, profit tracking, email, and multi-store features in place of other subscriptions, since its included email allowance can replace a separate email tool for a smaller store. Against Metrilo, which reaches segmentation at $379 and has no ad sync, Metorik is cheaper at most volumes and does more with the segment once built.

Putler

All plans share the core feature set, with unlimited orders; the pricing page says plans differ in the number of data sources, and the custom plan also asks about years of historical data. A custom plan is quoted above $5 million in monthly revenue.

At the bottom of the market Putler is good value for a particular kind of business. A seller under $10,000 a month pays $20 for automatic RFM segments across every store and gateway it uses, data cleanup that the single-store apps never attempt, and sales and subscription reporting besides, which is about what By the Numbers charges for one Shopify store. The value case turns on activation and on scale. If segments need to reach Klaviyo, Meta, or Google Ads on their own, By the Numbers, Tresl, or Metorik do that and Putler does not. And because the meter is revenue rather than orders, a high-ticket business pays more than on Metorik, where $250 covers up to 5,000 orders; at $200,000 in monthly revenue Putler costs $350. The unresolved question of which bands include RFM, given older documentation, is worth settling in the trial.

Editorial verdict on each

Metorik

Metorik is the answer in this category for WooCommerce stores, and a credible one for Shopify stores that want a segment engine rather than a set of pre-built segments. More than 500 filters across every kind of store record, results in seconds, an AI assistant to write them, and saved segments that feed reports, digests, exports, email automations, and six-hourly Facebook and Google Ads audiences make it a working tool rather than a dashboard. The pricing is as fair as any here: every feature and unlimited users from $25, billed on a three-month order average that moves down as readily as up, with a thirty-day trial and no card. The gaps are specific. There is no Klaviyo sync, because Metorik would rather you used its own email, TikTok and Pinterest audiences are still to come, and a Shopify store with a few thousand orders pays several times what By the Numbers charges for the audience-sync part of the job. WooCommerce stores should start here; Shopify stores built around Klaviyo should start with a Shopify app.

Putler

Putler earns a place in this category for the business the Shopify apps cannot see: one that sells through several gateways, carts, and marketplaces and has never had a single, trustworthy customer list. It merges PayPal, Stripe, WooCommerce, Etsy, Amazon, and the rest into master records, then hands you eleven automatic RFM segments redrawn daily, saved and editable filters, and export to Mailchimp or CSV, for $20 a month under $10,000 in revenue. The limits are just as clear. There is no live audience sync to Klaviyo or the ad platforms, the RFM model cannot be tuned, revenue-based pricing gets expensive for high-ticket sellers, no annual rate is published, there are no refunds, and older help articles leave it unclear whether RFM is on every revenue band. Multi-channel sellers under a few hundred thousand dollars a month should trial it; single-store Shopify brands with a Klaviyo program should start with By the Numbers or Tresl.
